Handsome representative of the breed, Zacapa de Samcor, is a very large male directly from Canary Islands, Spain.  The first time we met him he was only 5 months old, I knew something was special about him.  We came back two other times to the island to watch him develop, and now he is finally a grown man.  Traveling as a young man, only 15 months, to the World Show, handled under breeder Pedro Miranda, Zacapa walked away with a Reserve Best In Class.  This young man is 100% World Class Champion level Presa Canario.  Making his way to the USA borders, Zacapa took the show seen by storm - winning the US Monografica! Coming back to defend his title the next year, he walked away with a BOS only second to our own Gloria.  Zacapa has left his imprint on the genetic pool on the Canary Islands, now we hope he can do the same here in our program.  Being able to have one of his prodigy is literally owning a piece of Presa Canario history.  Zacapa's litter mate won the World Show, while his daughters (different dams) stomped the competition at the Spanish Monografica.  One of his son's is currently working as the cornerstone stud for a working kennel directly on the Canary Islands, proving that his genetics are valuable all the way around.
